More agents can apply to become RIX participants

“Our hope is that this will eventually benefit the public through increased competition in the payments market. More agents can now be better equipped to create innovative solutions for secure and efficient payments," says Christina Wejshammar, Head of the Payments Department.

One of the circumstances enabling more participants to become participants in RIX is amendments to the Settlement Act (1999:1309). All agents wishing to take part in the Riksbank's settlement system must fulfil the requirements for participation and undergo an application process.
