The Riksdag Committee on Finance will hold an open hearing on the Riksbank’s Account of Monetary Policy 2021. The entire Executive Board of the Riksbank will participate in the hearing.

Governor Stefan Ingves will discuss the economic situation and current monetary policy at Danske Bank.

As first Vice-President of the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB), Stefan Ingves will attend a hearing at the European Parliament’s Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs.

Deputy Governor Henry Ohlsson will give a speech on monetary policy in times of war at the Department of Economic History at Uppsala University.

Governor Stefan Ingves has been invited to the Bank of Finland after being awarded the Order of the White Rose of Finland, Commander First Class, earlier this year. There he will hold a speech about the new geopolitical map and the international influence of the Nordic region.

The speech will be held at 15.00 Swedish time and 16.00 Finnish time.

Deputy Governor Martin Flodén will discuss current monetary policy and the transition to new reference rates at Nasdaq Fixed Income.

The Riksbank will host a seminar on Monday 23 May on “Climate Change and Energy Market Dynamics” (see attached programme). Deputy Governors of the Riksbank Henry Ohlsson (Chair), Anna Breman and Martin Flodén will participate. Participation is only by special invitation.

The seminar is aimed primarily at participants in the Financial Stability Board’s Regional Consultative Group for Europe, which will meet in Stockholm on Tuesday, 24 May. This group consists of representatives of ministries of finance, central banks and supervisory authorities from 24 large and medium-sized countries in Europe and the surrounding area. Henry Ohlsson is Co-Chair of the group and Martin Flodén represents the Riksbank.

The first Financial Stability Report of the year will be published.

The Riksbank will hold a press conference conference on financial stability. Stefan Ingves, Governor of the Riksbank, and Olof Sandstedt, Head of the Financial Stability Department, will take part in the press conference.

Deputy Governor Anna Breman will participate in a panel discussion at a seminar on the growing role of the financial sector in the climate transition. The panel discussion will be moderated by Cecilia Hermansson, vice chair of the Swedish Climate Policy Council.
